Program areas at Clean and Safe
Public space security program provides public information to citizens and visitors and supports law enforcement in observing possible criminal activity, maintaining records and reporting such activity in the downtown business improvement district.the following expenses were incurred:gardaworld $2,013,012.city of portland - $544,119assessments/cce training/equip/tech - $251,473
Street lighting program: provided annual holiday lighting of street trees throughout areas of the district and provided multiple light installation projects. Program also included adding additional lights in designated areas of the district to provide enhanced lighting to promote activation and crime prevention.
Public space maintenance program provided employment opportunities for socially and economically disadvantaged persons and promoted community beautification by maintaining Clean city sidewalks and other public facilities in the downtown business improvement district.the following expenses were incurredcentral city concern - $1,599,647crow abatement - $55,111other (tree wells/equip) - $674,057
Public policy program promoted and advocated public policies for the development and growth of the downtown business improvement district as a focus for business, professional, governmental, and cultural activities.public relations and marketing program promoted downtown business improvement district vitality and safety through image enhancement events, publications, and an annual multi-media branding campaign.
