Celi's fellowship for working professionals is taught by influential thought leaders and expert practitioners in the field. Fellows are challenged to think critically about current Energy policy and market structures, examine existing and historical inequities, identify existing barriers to Clean Energy deployment and innovation, and develop holistic solutions toward an equitable Energy transition. The celi 2023 fellowship trained 206 emerging leaders across the spectrum of Clean Energy technology, regulatory structures, business, finance, policy, and entrepreneurship. The fellowship also provided concrete Leadership and professional development components, including public speaking, business pitching, and written thought pieces. Metrics include 421 applicants, 270 interviews, 112 transition candidates 212 accepted fellows, incl. 59 transition candidates 211 fellows enrolled, and 206 fellows completed the fellowship, through a 4-month celi fellowship, aug 30 - dec 9, across 4 cohorts, including the four celi metro areas - bay area, chicago, Washington d.c., and new york city. Education and Leadership development within the house ball community to participate in the democratic management of their Energy resources: climate challenge: celi and michael roberson - theologian, public health practitioner, activist, artist, curator, cultural advisor and leader within the lgbtq and house ball community - will work together to support the development of a new Energy education component within the ballroom freedom school's civic participation curriculum. By introducing a relevant curriculum around Energy issues, and utilizing celi's Energy education experience, celi will work with michael roberson and the ballroom freedom school to support organic organizers in the house ball community to become engaged in the climate challenge.
Edict: celi launched the edict internship program in 2021. Edict is a business workforce partnership that centers on the voices and experiences of students from traditionally excluded groups in the Clean Energy ecosystem. Celi partners with elemental excelerator and futuremap on the edict summer internship program which places undergraduates and recent graduates in summer jobs with host companies that have taken the edict pledge, a commitment to advancing inclusivity in the workplace and the climate jobs ecosystem overall. Celi provides broad-exposure Clean Energy education to summer interns, focusing on the most foundational concepts in Clean Energy, including power markets, grid technology, policy, technology, start-ups and organizing/advocacy around Energy justice. Metrics include: providing weekly Energy education training through edict partnership to 76 interns who were placed at 52 host companies, across a 10-week summer internship program.
