Program areas at Clean Washington Waters

Our Aurora Bridge project is a multi phase, multi year project that aims to address nearly 2 million gallons of polluted runoff from teh bridge annually. Phase 2 of this project located at Troll Avenue in the Fremont neighborhood of Seattle will capture an estimated 4000, 000 gallons of water annually. The 3rd phase of this project began in 2019 and will capture over 1 million gallons of runoff annually. This phase of the project is located along the Burke Gilman trail in Seattle and will provide the opportunity for community education with the inclusion of interpretive signage and a pedestrian foot bridge that will allow the public to see the bioswale in action. The location of the 3rd phase of the project allows for us to host community groups such as local school groups for educational sessions on water pollution and conservation efforts.
