Program areas at Climate and Health Foundation
Active citizen - is a civics curriculum that teaches children how they can impact government policy. Every year they address a local and global initiative to raise awareness of what is going on in the community and the world. The shfat that! Initiative is a campaign created by the project citizen and active citizen students of indian ridge elementary school in aurora, Colorado. Their mission is to spread the word that too much sugar turns to fat in the body. They have been working with world renowned scientists who are now discovering that it is not fat that is making us sick or overweight, it is sugar!
Supporting past projects - the organization continues to support previous educational programs and equipment support.grants - provides grants to organizations in furtherance of the Foundation's exempt purpose.
School technology - provided tablets and applications to 800 students in various school districts.
Training clinicians and Health professionals as leaders in Climate medicine to become formidable innovators that will help local and global communities prepare for the impacts of a changing Climate.
Conference of the parties - supporting parties that have committed to take voluntary actions to prevent dangerous anthropogenic [human-caused] interference with the Climate system. Delegates attending the event include scientists, physicians, nurses, public Health professionals, and academicians who are leaders in Climate and Health policy, and the majority of them had speaking engagements.
