Program areas at Coalition on Positive Health Empowerment - Cope
This past year was COPEs most eventful year since the pandemic. Our testing program has increased community events and outreach campaigns throughout New York City. We conducted outreach in collaboration with religious institutions, community centers, and other community organizations. In total we successfully reached almost three hundred 273 community members. Some of our partners were New Settlement community center in the Bronx, National Black commission on health, and East ward Baptist church. Our virtual programming has continued to include 3-4 virtual programs per month totaling almost fifty programs 48. Our primary focus being wellness for our aging population, had a breakdown of 24 meditation, 12 yoga, 2 budgeting, 2 nutrition, and Tai Chi. We also held virtual workshops on Insurance options, and health discussions with Marlene Taylor CPA, and Althea Hewitt. We had a total of 614 attendees in our virtual programs.
