Coastal Empire Habitat for Humanity

Over the past year, Coastal Empire Habitat for Humanity has partnered with 11 families to realize their dream of achieving affordable homeownership. 5 new homes were sold to first-time, eligible homebuyers within chatham county, Georgia and financed at below market interest rates with zero-percent mortgage subsidies, while 4 homes were under construction as of june 30, 2023. During this period, cehfh engaged 805 volunteers who contributed 3,332 hours of service on its construction sites and committees and at its restore thrift operations. The 160 partner families that cehfh has served since its founding in 1983 contributed approximately 360,846 in property taxes to their municipal and county government over the past year.
