Program areas at Codeartinc
Code/arCodeartrt provided professional development training to k-12 teachers on leading code/art's creative coding curriculum and making k-12 computerscience classes more welcoming to girls; post training, additional, in classroom support from our teaching interns was provided. There were 17interns and 160 teachers trained in 2022.
Steam+ program for miami beach senior high: 78 students servedtech es para todos! Hispanic heritage event: 37 students and 18 adultscs ed week collaboration with nuevo foundation: 15 female studentscs ed week celebration with csforall cohort: 99 students and 36 teacherstotal served in outreach programs: 284 participants.
Weekly after school coding clubs, summer camps and stand-aloneworkshops for girls in grades 3-12. Served 257 girls.virtual coding conference that included workshops, talks, expo booth, digital art exhibit, and an awards ceremony. Targets all girls, k-12 teachers and tech and art enthusiasts. Number of attendees in 2022 250 girls.future tech leadher was a program funded by astrazeneca grant to create ai lessons and teach the new ai lessons in code/arCodeartrt workshops, clubs and camps for girls in grades 6-12. Served 225 girls.
We held 3 coding competitions - 2 were open to girls in se Florida (miami-dade, broward, palm beach and monroe counties) and 1 was open to any girl living in the us. Number of student submissions in 2022 341 girls.
