Program areas at Codehouse Corporation
Scholar Initiative - Summer Program Held on July 5 through July 31. CodeHouse offered a summer academy program to 25 students from HBCU schools Spelman College, Morehouse College, Clark Atlanta University, Howard University and North Carlina A&T State University. The program included introduction to computer science, workshops with several tech industry representatives and professional development. The students received a stipend for the summer program and a scholarship for college.
Scholarship Programs - CodeHouse Corporation grants scholarships for the CodeHouse Scholars for Cohort 1 (2021); Cohort-2 (2022) and Cohort-3 (2023) of $5000 a year. Up to date we have a total of three cohorts and 97 scholars.
"Tech Exposure Day" Event held on 3/2/2023 CodeHouse Corporation invited high schools students from the the Atlanta area and surrounds to participate in a "Tech Exposure Day" at the Mercedes Benz Stadium in Atlanta, GA. More than 3,000 Students and Educators registered to participate. The day long event consisted of noted tech industry speakers and interactive workshops with over twenty industry leading tech companies.
Mentorship Program: CodeHouse Corporation provides mentorship program throughout the year for the CodeHouse Scholars. This program provides professional development, training for summer internships and social interaction with other students. CodeHouse assigns rising senior and juniors to mentor the freshman scholars.
Community Membership: CodeHouse offers a number of workshops to community members. The community members includes students form the five university partnered with CodeHouse: Clark Atlanta, Spelman College, Morehouse College, Howard University and NCAT. The workshops consist of professional development, internship preparedness and social impact in the community.
