Codys Friends Rescue provides treatment, care, and rehoming for canines who have been abused, neglected or abandoned. The rescue ensures that all canines receive appropriate medical attention including heartworm treatment, vaccinations, spay and neuter services, as well as emergency vet care. In addition to these services, the rescue also provides food and provisions for rescued canines in need.

Program areas at Codys Friends Rescue

Adoption Program: Cody's Friends Rescue CFR primary program is the adoption of canines into loving homes. All dogs brought into CFR are altered and vetted prior to adoption. For 2023 CFR adopted out 550 dogs and took in 727 dogs that were lost and abandoned and from various DFW metroplex shelters. Those that were not adopted in 2023 remained in foster care into 2024. Since the inception of CFR in 2012 over 9,000 dogs have been saved and placed in carefully screened loving adoptive homes.
