Program areas at Cohoes Multi-Service Senior Citizens Center
Senior Center enrichment - programs and activities including recreation, socialization and educational opportunities for older adults throughout our region. More than 400 older neighbors and friends participate in at least one of our many programs and activities. Congregate dining is available monday through friday at both watervliet and Cohoes Senior centers. A hot, nutritious meal served in an enjoyable atmosphere, often augmented with entertainment, is the ideal way to socialize and mingle with friends. In 2023 over 16,477 meals were served, a 10% increase.
Cohoes companions is a social adult day program that provides supervision, socialization and stimulation to older adults who may require extra support and/or companionship during the day and respite to the overwhelmed caregiver. Staffed by caring professionals we serve 7-14 seniors a day.
