Program areas at College to Congress
Our program is innovative because we use a systems-thinking approach to break down barriers for low-income young leaders. C2C provides students with a competitive congressional internship, then C2C eliminates the financial burden by covering our students' housing, food, professional clothing, and transportation to/from DC. Additionally, we pair students with "allies" through our bipartisan allies program. Lastly, our weekly leadership series equips interns with skills including financial literacy, networking, interviewing, resume-writing, ect. This positions them to break the cycle of poverty by filling in gaps in experience that they would not be privy to because of their socioeconomic backgrounds. C2C staff spend a significant amount of time focusing on and curating the program for our students.
