Colorado Asian Culture and Education Network

Cacen conducted a civic engagement ambassador program to train Asian community members on the importance of civic participation, how the government works, and ways to get involved. Participants received a stipend for completion of the program and for their future commitment to engage in service events such as voter outreach and civic engagement Education.

Cacen provided programs in response to community trauma and needs including: a community vigil for the shootings in monterey park and half moon bay, healing circles, self-defense workshop, affirmative action Education and dialogue, etc. Cacen continued to listen to the concerns of the community in order to adapt quickly and provide timely support to address current challenges.

Cacen organized cultural programs for the community to gather and celebrate, including lunar new year celebrations, annual Asian hero of Colorado awards during Asian heritage month, donation drives for senior citizens and refugee families, winter wonderland for youth, etc.
