Description
Colorado Consumer Health Initiative advances the consumer voice to improve access to health care for all Coloradans by working statewide for progress toward equity, affordability, and quality. In 2022, Cchi supported consumer-focused implementation of the Colorado option, prescription drug affordability board, and hospital discounted care regulations including hosting numerous webinars and outreach activities to bring community voices into these efforts.

Program areas at Colorado Consumer Health Initiative

In 2023 cchi led and supported member-priority legislation on the regulation and study of facility fees and their impact on the cost of care, hospital community benefit, increasing access to reproductive healthcare, crucial coverage for immigrant coloradans, and promoting oral Health. Cchi continued Consumer focused implementation of the Colorado option, the prescription drug affordability board, hospital financial assistance regulations by hosting webinars and outreach activities to bring community voices into these processes and raise awareness. Since 2018, the Consumer assistance program saved over 8 million in Consumer medical and prescription drug costs and served over 3000 clients.
