Colorado Coroners

The 2022 Coroners Conference was held June 8-10, 2022 at the Sheraton Denver West Hotel in Lakewood, Colorado. There were 126 in-person attendees and 15 online attendees. Topics included Deaths in a National Park, Understanding and Mitigating Stress, Current Drug Trends, Cause and Manner of Death Certification, Photography Basics, Family Advocate Programs, SUIDI Training, Crime Scene Preservation, Postmortem Fingerprints, Mass Disasters, Bloodstain Pattern Analysis, Detecting Deception, Blunt Force Trauma. Four scholarships were awarded for full conference costs and costs of rooms.

The 2022 Coroners Training was held October 5-7, 2022, at the DoubleTree Hilton in Grand Junction, Colorado. There were 96 in person attendees and 17 online attendees. Topics included Forensic Genealogy, Cold Case, Photography Basics, Scene Safety, Natural Death Investigation, Drowning Deaths, Scavenging, Doe Authorization, Drugs and Paraphernalia, FEMA Incident, Case study, Dealing with a Contaminated Body, East Troublesome Fire, Veterans Benefits, etc. Three scholarships were awarded for full conference costs and costs of rooms.
