Wage theft:at the core of our denvers workers rights program is a commitment to empowering workers through education and advocacy. We recognize that knowledge is a powerful tool in the fight for worker rights. Our approach is designed to create a multiplier effect: when one worker is informed about their rights, they typically share this knowledge with six others, creating a ripple effect of empowerment. Our workshops and clinics are more than just informational sessions; they are environments where workers learn to advocate for themselves and others, turning knowledge into action.
Aurora:colorado Jobs with Justice identified and activated worker leaders in the city of aurora. The goal in aurora was twofold. One was to build a workers table of worker leaders who can organize around various issues in their communities. The second was to connect, activate, and engage workers in a rent control fight that co jwj is working on as part of the Colorado homes for all coalition. The coalition worked to target different state legislators to support the repeal of the ban on rent control in the last legislative session. Jobs with Justice is committed to challenging corporate landlords and building power for working-class tenants in Colorado, and that is why we were reaching out to tenants in aurora to learn more about their experiences.
Epic:equity andpossibilitiesinconstruction (epic) seeks to build sustained relationships through the recruitment, retention and development of women, and nonbinary people of color into apprenticeship programs with union building and construction trades for opportunities and advancement. Epic fights for greater possibilities and representation in the industry and labor movement.
