Scholarships:the scholarships are intended to recognize academic achievement and/ or assist financially with the cost of attending c-gcc. Enrolled c-gcc students may apply for scholarships if the individual students meet the criteria of the specified scholarship. The essays are scored by the scholarship committee using a standardized rubric. The student with the highest rating (s) receives the scholarship(s). Scholarship recipients' information is placed in a shared file for the financial aid, bursar's office, and the c-gcc Foundation office to access for appropriate recording and disbursement purposes.
Student emergency need funding: this funding is used to help c-gcc students who face financial roadblocks that hinder academic success. Tuition payments, books, student supplies, grocery cards, gas cards, medical appointments, transportation, eyeglasses, car repair are all examples of emergency need. Students must send an email explaining why they need these funds. Documentation is filled out with/by students to show what the funds are used for, the amount, and signed by the student. For grant purposes demographic information is collected as well, without student identification.
