Citizens Audit- Investigation on debt and the climate crisis in partnership with "El Puente" project ; Publication of two reports on the debt of the PR Electric Power Authority: 1 New proposal for payment to PREPA bondholders: unsustainable for the people of Puerto Rico 2 Who are the vultures that want to increase electricity rates further?
Community Organization: "No More Increases to Electricity Campaign" in collaboration with several civic organizations against the Puerto Rico Financial Oversight and Management Board's proposals to the PREPA debt. Thanks to the Campaign efforts in June 2023 we managed to defeat the Board's proposal presented in December 2022 reducing the payment to bondholders by over 50% and proposed electricity rate increases.
Access to Public Information: Requests to 19 agencies for documents on public debt from 1972 to the present; 11 pending requests and 3 lawsuits were filed and 100% won.
