Create and disseminate Puerto Rican Heritage Month Activities including commission of annual poster,gala honoring Puerto Rican community, calendar journal for distribution to schools and community, Lo Mejor de Nuestra Communidad, Humanitarian/Buscando Nuestro Raices trip to PR and Artisans Fair, 3 kings Celebration, Puerto Rican Parade march, website programs and information, cultural and health related workshops, Day of Social Responsibility including turkey and food basket drive for community.
Four scholarship programs for Puerto Rican students: CN Scholarship Awards program, Ernesto Malave Scholarship for the Arts, Josefina Aguado Scholarship for Single Parents, and the Richie Perez Scholarship for Peace and Justice. A total of fourteen (14) $1,000 scholarships awarded.
Estoy con Puerto Rico: Humanitarian effort to provide food, water, and small grants to small businesses and non-profits throughout the island of Puerto Rico after Hurricane Maria and Earthquakes for economic restoration and rebuilding.
