Policy - the policy team conducts and publishes original research on timely fiscal issues, summarizes and analyzes current and proposed budget-related legislation, and develops resources to help policymakers, the media, and the public gain A better understanding of the Federal Budget situation and the nation's fiscal outlook.
Initiatives - the organization develops key initiatives to address pressing policy issues. During 2023, the organization had two active initiatives, fixus and health savers. Fixus convenes diverse stakeholders and advances research with the goal of understanding the root causes of our growing national divisions and how they can be addressed. Health savers is A collaborative research project to develop bold policy solutions to lower health care costs.
Public engagement - the public engagement team works with civic, educational, business, and economic groups and the media to educate and engage the public about the nation's long-term fiscal challenges.
