Since 1993, Communities in Schools of Nassau County, Inc. has remained focused on helping struggling youth stay in school, graduate and prepare for a productive life cis surrounds students with a community of support by utilizing the power of partnerships and embedding professional staff in the place where children already spend their days-public Schools. Cis Nassau whole-school services reach over 5,000 middle and high school students each year, with 500-700 of these youth receiving prescriptive case management services, including individual and small group goal-setting, mentoring, coaching for attendance and behavior, tutoring, remediation, career exploration, interview skills, guidance for healthy choices, family engagement, motivation, referrals.
