Program areas at Community Capital Advisors
Technical Assistance to diverse community organizations. Technical Assistance in project designs and development to diverse grassroot groups and community-based organizations has been the overarching activities of Community Capital Advisors (CCA). Since the 1990s, we have provide various forms of support to more than 30 community organizations and/or partnered with other groups on CDFIs, STEM education and socioeconomic-impact projects in the Philadelphia region and West Africa since the 1990s. In 2023, our primary projects were fundraising & the developement of Phase-1 of our 6721-23 Musgrave Street Rehab project in the Mt. Airy neighborhood of Philadelphia, and a "learning lab" component of the CCA-led Liberia Institute for Girls - Todee (LIG) project in West Africa. The LIG project is sponsored, in part by the U.S. State Department through its embassy in Liberia.
Musgrave Street Rehabilitation project In 2022, CCA invested more than $200,000 and about $150,000 in 2023 on Phase-1 of our Musgrave Street Rehab project. We aim to commerce Phase-2 of the project financed in part by the PA Department of Community & Economic Development through PIDC, and a $500,000 capital campaign by CCA in 2024. The center city based Erickson & Sons Construction Group is the General Contractor of the project
In 2023, we colaborated withdiverse group of various STEM education and CDFI projects in Greater Philadelphia, PA and in the tiny West African nation of Libera. We continue to provide support to African immagrant led STEM education and social- impact project in the William Penn School District, including All For All Agency in East Lansdowne and Multicultural Community. Learning Tree, as well as the premire Liberia-based Kakata Rural Teacher Training Institute (KRTTI)
