Program areas at Community Capital Fund
We aided individuals and small business through payment of rent, utilities, food and transporation assistance caused by COVID-19. We supported 202 households and 7 low to moderate income neighborhood community stabilization efforts. We also supported local government with the grant making efforts in response to COVID-19. 56 businesses received approximately 460,000 in grants to cover their rent obligations. 64 of awards went to local landlords and mortgage companies. 38 of business owners were minorities owned businesses and 47 were female owned businesses.
The Organization sponsored workshops for neighborhood, government, and nonprofit leaders, residents, grassroots activists, and other community stakeholders from both Kansas and Missouri - a free opportunity to learn, collaborate, and build new relationships that support community development. We have hosted these workshops sinced 2013.
The Organization provided grants to 40 agencies for community projects and neighborhood revitalization initiatives that help build stronger and more effective neighborhood orgranizations in low to moderate income areas throughout the Greater Kansas City region. Since 2015, we have awarded grants to neighborhood organizations throughout the Greater Kansas City region totally 618,738. These grants have leveraged 47,359 combined volunteer hours and have engaged 111,244 participants residents and stakeholders during this period.
