Program areas at Community Coalitions of Virginia
The Virginia Department of Health Grant allowed for 21 CCoVA Coalitions to each receive $38000 for use in the prevention of Fentanyl and Opioid Overdose. Each coalition in receipt of the grant money used if for campaign awareness in the prevention of overdoses, and community and school education programs. The program was from March - August 2023.
CCoVA initiated planning of its 3rd Summit about the prevention of substance use, taking action, building resilient and thriving communities. Attendees for the October 2023 event will include CCoVA coalitions, community members, state agencies and other organization interested in substance use prevention.
