Community Express Inc. STEMulating SUCCESS project provides positive alternative activities to motive learning and development and practical stress management tools for youth to combat the yearlong impact of COVID 19 upon their functioning education and wellbeing. Youth participate in activities that address personal development academic and adaptive enhancement functioning and civic community awareness training 4 SUCCESS and COVID 19 prevention education. 1251 meals and 2224 snacks served.
Being able to access eat - and afford - healthy nutrition options is a MUST in preparing our youth for SUCCESS; therefore this summer we conducted onsite cooking classes and provided nutritional education activities and taught participants how to prepare simple dietary meals during the week of summer programming. 1251 meals and 2224 snacks served.
Summer Programming Teen Counselors: Daily programming activities were designed to help participants develop critical skills to help them grow and develop socially emotionally physically and intellectually through identity formation stress management critical thinking communication problem-solving leadership and negotiation and health and wellness education. Older youth ages 11-17 also participated in Entrepreneurship Leadership activities designed to help develop a body of youth leaders to advocate for the needs of their peers within the community.
