Program areas at Community Food Bank
Stopping hunger, filling gaps in basic needs, and providing equitable pathways to personal prosperity is the vision of the Community Food Bank and our 62 partners. Since we opened in 2013, the Community Food Bank, our board, employees and volunteers have worked tirelessly to ensure no one goes hungry. Ten years later and we are supplying over 5 million meals to over 70,000 neighbors in need through 62 partners across 3 counties. But we do not stop at ending hunger, we want to nourish hope, thus providing assistance to self-sustainability and prosperity in any crisis situation or disaster. Agency partners are kept up to date and connected to the service providers that their clients need the most. Our cellular charging stations provide power for client devices at the pantries while pantry volunteers provide empowerment to clients to navigate resources and even make difficult calls to family and friends for support. Many of our staff and volunteers are actually distribution clients encouraged to gain skills, pay it forward, or just retain their dignity by assisting in our operations. Each of us knows that a life-changing impact can begin with a simple meal and we are dedicated to facilitating the removal of barriers to each client's patch to prosperity. We know we are better together and it is our mission to ensure that no one goes hungry and that we nourish the hope each and every neighbor in need in our Community.
