Program areas at Community Free Clinic
The Clinic operates a standalone free clinic with an in-house pharmacy located in Cabarrus County. The Clinic provides health care and pharmacy services to low-income, uninsured, working aged adults who have chronic health conditions (i.e., high blood pressure, diabetes, heart disease) and other primary medical care needs. Clinical and pharmacy services are provided three days and one evening each week. During the year ended June 30, 2023, the Clinics records indicate that the Clinic served 531 clinic patients, with 2,798 clinic appointments. Services included medical visits, laboratory evaluations, vision screening, patient education, COVID testing, and referral for COVID vaccines.In addition to clinical and pharmacy services, the Clinic provides patient eligibility, enrollment, and care coordination services for Cabarrus County adult residents who are low-income and uninsured as part of Cabarrus Countys health care safety net program, HealthNet.
