Teacher SpotlightEach year during Black History Month, Community Goods recognizes an inspiring black teacher from the Chicago Public School system. Our goal is to highlight teachers that make a difference in the classroom and community. Friends, family, or colleagues can nominate them to win our Teachers Spotlight honoree by submitting a short story to have them be featured and receive a monetary donation or a classroom wishlist fulfilled. Mr. Antonio Miller ( @afromilitant ) of Urban Prep Academy in Bronzeville, was our 2022 Teacher Spotlight winner!
Featuring UsInaugural artist + education series, Featuring Us, held on the west side of Chicago. We feature the work of Chicago-based creatives with the goal to give an opportunity to a few rising artists in the city.
Right Back at Ya! - back to school eventWe partnered with the @nhlblackhawks to host nearly 500 students and their families for, Right Back at Ya!, a back-to-school community event with a twist! Our goal was to provide a shopping experience to our westside community, providing them with free goods and services in a comfortable, private, and relaxed environment; different from your everyday giveaway.
