Program areas at CORE
Organizing: Onboarded 2 organizers from areas with little to no involvement at CORE. Established partnership with IAF and begain formalized community organizing training for full staff of 7, board of directors, and volunteers. Significantly expanded relational network across the county to 2x its previous size working towards systematic change.
Juneteenth: Over 3000 in attendance from across the Triangle Area. 3x Increased vendor registration from previous years. Community partnerships established to promote Black artists througout the year.
Education: Trained over 1500 across the state of NC on Racial Equity Fundamentals, Race & Trauma, and other workshops combined. Hosted 10 monthly Coffee with CORE events with a successful aim to build community interest in community organizing efforts. Each event grew substantially from 5-45 in attendance. Hosted 3 community educational events with successful creation of organizing efforts and coalitions.
