Program areas at Reach for Equity
Health and nutrition - communities across myanmar suffered from escalating conflicts along with social, political and economic crises. The number of displaced populations is increasing rapidly. There is a growing need for basic and essential primary healthcare services, including nutritional support, yet, delivering these services remain a huge challenge with the collapse of the public health system. In response, cpi trains and equips frontline health workers to deliver primary health care, safe delivery, immunization and nutrition services to address the critical needs as well as to protect families against ill health and hunger.
Sustainable development (includes bangladesh and myanmar) - aiming for the sustainable improvement of the quality of life of the Community based on their own priorities, cpi works with local communities in promoting access to clean water, good hygiene and sanitation; creating livelihood opportunities; improving children's access to quality education; and strengthening Community services and infrastructure. Cpi values the inputs of the Community and continuously seek to empower the Community for their active participation in decision making and local leadership.
Emergency response (includes bangladesh & myanmar) - the need for humanitarian assistance kept growing, even more rapidly, as a result of escalating armed conflict along with mass displacement throughout myanmar. As of 2024, 18.6 million people are in need of humanitarian aid with nearly 2.4 million displaced population since the military takeover in 2021. Approximately one million rohingya refugees from myanmar (burma) are seeking shelter in bangladesh. Cpi is responding to a variety of emergencies (natural or man-made), including the rohingya crisis in myanmar and bangladesh, through the provision of multisectoral life-saving assistance for the crisis-affected communities. This includes delivering health, protection services, covering food and nutrition support and non-food items.

Cpi also provide technical assistance for research capacity building and implementing research activities for local organizations in the targeted countries.
