Program areas at Community Response Coalition of Kentucky
Living Expense Assistance - for clients directly or indirectly impacted by life threatening illnesses and those at imminent risk of eviction. Rent assistance was spent on supporting clients as they transitioned to a more sustainable financial position. Similarly, hotel assistance was only provided if it was a bridge to a more sustainable living situation. Other Assistance provided to our clients which includes but not limited to automobile, transportation, food, and utility assistance.
Legal Assistance - As CRCKY has grown, so has our emphasis on ensuring every client has access to immigration lawyers. CRCKY pays for an initial consultation with a reputable immigration lawyer for clients who can not afford a consultation. In some cases, we also help pay the initial deposit for the clients case. We prioritized unaccompanied minors who typically do not have the resources needed to pay for an attorney. CRCKY also assited adult households who needed a little financial assitance to get their case started, as long as they had the means to keep up with future monthly legal payments.
Interpretation Services - Language access is something CRCKY is deeply committed to and believes every client should have. We spend a great deal of time, effort and money ensuring we can communicate efectively with our clients. Whether using in-person interpreters or phone interpretation, we try to accommodate every language need. Our financial means are limited, but we strive to accomodate eveen low diffusion dialects. Everyone should have the right to be heard.
