Computer Core

Computer Core community outreach and education is a 501c3 nonprofit, community-based organization whose mission is to help under-resourced adults acquire the technological and life skills needed to pursue their career aspirations. With a small paid staff and the assistance of over 65 volunteers, Core now teaches over 600 adults in 30 free online courses in three 10-week terms per year. Core also provides free refurbished laptop computers to each enrolled adult learner for them to keep. Founded in 1999, over the past 25 years Core has served over 6,500 northern Virginia adults with the help of over 3,900 volunteer teachers and it professionals.
