We assisted 23,144 individuals (6,162) households) this year with an average of 70 pounds of Food per household per visit. We were open once a week for 52 weeks.6,162 families x 70 (average per family)=431,340 x $1.82 = $785,039we were given a total of 476,657 pounds of Food (x $1.82 per pound).we averaged about 20 per cent in Food waste per week, per our director.) We also donated 5,000 pounds of Food to edmonds school district foundation in support of their pop up pantries.
A $257.50 donation was given to clothes for kids, an organization that helped many of our families with clothing and shoes.a $600 donation was given to the south snohomish county toy shop, an organization that assisted many of our clients with holiday gifts for their children.a $750 donation was given to northwest harvest.
In addition to Food, we helped households pay vital bills such as utilities, most clients received $75-$100 in this form of assistance, which we paid directly to the vendor. The clients were able to request this help once every six months. Clients were also eligible to receive bus tickets every three months to assist in getting to and from the Food Bank.
