Program areas at CHLI

Global leaders internships and fellowships - during the fall and spring semesters, selected students complete paid internships in Congressional and corporate offices to strengthen their understanding of public policy while interacting with top leaders in the nation. This unique experiential academic semester-long internship experience combines Congressional, corporate, and civic engagement.
Communications fellowship - two recent college graduates gain hands-on experience by directly working with chli's communications manager to develop, implement, and evaluate traditional and social media plans.
Policy briefings, workshops and other programs - quarterly policy briefings on issues that impact our communities, connect national leaders and experts from the private and public sectors, and are a valuable resource for members of congress and their staff, industry leaders, and corporations.
Future leaders conferences - chli's future leaders conference brings together Congressional speakers and distinguished corporate executives, capitol hill staff, and academic and non-profit leaders to discuss public service, Leadership, and global competitiveness.
Trade symposium - held during Hispanic heritage month, the symposium convenes over 100 international business influencers, Hispanic organization leaders, experts on trade, members of the diplomatic community, foreign ministers, and u.s. government officials to discuss trade issues that affect u.s. Global competitiveness.
Summer law fellows - founded in 2020 in partnership with the university of miami school of law, chli's paid summer law fellowship allows first- and second-year law students the opportunity to gain valuable legal experience and networking opportunities with chli's Congressional, corporate, and law partners.
Alumni association - created by alumni for alumni, chli's alumni association celebrates accomplishments to foster a culture of Leadership, community, and continue to invest in advancing opportunities for Hispanic leaders.
