Program areas at Connecticut Citizen Research Group
We address environmentally caused health problems such as air and water contamination by gathering facts and information and making it available to the general public. We do this during forums & meetings and also through mailings telephone banking and social media-based outreach. During 2023 our focus has been on promoting awareness of and solutions to the growing climate crisis.
We work in coalitions with other nonprofit organizations unions cultural and religious organizations to address public policy questions and to provide outreach and education services to their members. During 2023 we were able to focus on promoting racial and cultural awareness and tolerance as well as addressing the disproportional effects that the climate crisis is having on marginal communities.
In this same way we also address widespread consumer issues that cannot be resolved by individuals on their own. During 2023 our focus was on access to affordable health care inequities in our public education systems and strengthening our democracy.
