Program areas at Connecticut Society of the Sons of the American Revolution

Management and operation of 3 historical properties located in Connecticut:Lebanon's War Office where Connecticut's Council of Safety met and made decisions throughout the Revolution, and two schoolhouses in New London and East Haddam where Nathan Hale taught school before joining the revolutionary cause. All three sites are open for limited hours during the summer, draw on volunteers from the society and local communities to care for and interppret them, and attract hundreds of students and tourists annually from the region and beyond.
Promotion of our Society's goals among members and the general public by providing historical information on our website about the Revolutionary War and Nathan Hale, operating a Speaker's Bureau about Revolutionary Themes and organizing several programs open to the publice which honor our Revolutionary Patriots and the locations of significant Revolutionary events in Connecticut
