Connecting Kids to the Colors of Ag programming consists of providing unique educational experiences designed to inspire creativity, curiosity and discovery in the world of Agriculture and Culinary Arts. Through project-based learning activities and experiences the Academy strives to develop the next generation of natural resource leaders by providing activities to help them discover firsthand how culinary science, agriculture, and natural resources and STEM relates to the world around them.
Connecting BIPOC Farmers to Ag Services by providing technical assistance and outreach and hands-on field experience to underserved farmers, ranchers and producers in USDA programs and services.
The Take 'Em Fishin' program is an environmental education program designed to enhance, develop and promote diverse hands-on recreational fishing opportunities to connect minority youth with fish, water and the great outdoors. Through workshop sessions, panel discussions, interactive presentations and fun activities, youth learn meaningful and practical life skills to empower them to achieve their greatest potential. Additionally, Take 'Em Fishin' program shows that experiencing America's great outdoors is fun, easy and healthy, by advancing awareness and understanding of the benefits of nature, building stewardship values and engages minority youth ages 6-15 in conservation and recreation.
