Program areas at Conservation Fisheries

In 2023, cfi continued to propagate, stock and monitor multiple species of rare, threatened or endangered fish species across the eastern united states. Renovation of our knoxville, Tennessee propagation facilities and offices is ongoing. These renovations will increase our ability to host visitors, provide better facilities for our staff and volunteers, and increase the impact of our work to "save the fishes". Cfi has worked in the past year to increase our outreach and education efforts, and has hosted over 50 visits by Conservation partners, community groups, schools, and interested public. Cfi continues to build relationships with local universities and local primary and secondary schools to increase our educational and outreach impact. Cfi's mission of Conservation, education, and outreach on behalf of the incredible aquatic biodiversity of our region continues.
