Monitored current/potential impacts to natural and cultural resources on local public lands; advocated for protection of local public lands and educated and engaged the public in their protection; collected 35,800+ signatures for the "protect red cliffs petition" to advocate for protecting the red cliffs national conservation area from a four-lane highway; organized 30+ environmental conservation education and outreach activities for 2,300+ attendees; organized 200+ volunteers for a total of 650+ volunteer hours on public lands stewardship activities like habitat restoration and native plant restoration and planting; recognized more than 375 children as "certified tortoise defenders" as they learned to protect the threatened mojave desert tortoise; completed the pika'aya tooveep (tortoise country) project with the shivwits band of paiutes, which included a biological report analyzing data from the first mojave desert tortoise survey on reservation lands and a 200-page report preserving traditional ecological knowledge and oral history.
