Program areas at Construction Career Collaborative
Promote craft workers' financial security, health, and well-being with educational program awareness to Owners, Contractors, and Specialty Contractors of questionable practices in the industry. Provide an accreditation program to educate Contractors and Specialty Contractors that agree and follow the same C3 principles.Teach safety principles on construction projects by requiring and tracking craft workers' safety training for OSHA 10, OSHA 30, and NCCER training. Create and implement a safety refresher for craft workers already complying with OSHA 10 working on C3 designated construction projects. This safety refresher training is also free to any construction company, regardless of C3 affiliation. Continued on Schedule O.Consult with construction companies that employ craft workers qualified for C3 Accredited Employer status to help develop craft training programs within their respective organizations linked to career paths. Assess the craft training programs of C3 Accredited Employers to measure and endorse, if earned, each company's skills training at three different levels based upon the quality of the individual training program. Emphasize and promote advantages to the industry when investments in craft worker training are made available. Establish a database of craft workers with training credentials.C3 provides services to organizations that help them formalize and structure talent management programs that address all aspects of the employee life cycle. Services include helping to formalize craft training tied to construction career paths that promote a sustainable workforce. Additionally, consulting might include addressing performance appraisal programs, retention, employee engagement, and recruiting and onboarding.
To support ongoing efforts to create a sustainable craft training talent pipeline, we engage with local school districts and contracting companies over a career awareness day for career and technical students pursuing high school training in architecture and construction.
