Helmets to hardhats:working in tandem with the national office, helmets to hardhats helps introduce military veterans to career opportunities in Construction. In 2023, the program worked with over 100 veterans to identify and support their next steps in the Construction industry.
Learn2build:the intention of the learn2build program is to expose middle school students to career possibilities in Construction. In 2023, ccf explored a new way to engage with students through camps. Ccf partnered with schools and youth-focused community-based organizations to bring Construction to youth through fun and creative activities at these camps.
Mn trades academy:the mn trades academy (mta) is a paid summer Construction internship experience for selected twin city area high school youth. Mta aspires to provide rich educational and hands-on experiences for participants to earn while they learn about Construction as a career choice. In 2023, 50 youth participated in the program.
Outreach:throughout 2023, the trades navigator worked with young people to explore career planning, working to help clarify the process and steps toward apprenticeship. The trades navigator also hosted gathering for program alumni to build a community of peers and explore opportunities in the trades.
