Program areas at CMAA
Cmci - as an independent entity of cmaa, the Construction manager certification institute (cmci) administers Construction Management credentialing programs. They are: 1) the ansi accredited certified Construction manager (ccm) credentialing program that re/certifies hundreds of ccms each year. This designation is based on education and mastery of the critical skills of Construction Management and 2) the Construction manager-in-training (cmit) certificate program provides a pathway for early career professionals to become successful Construction managers. The cmit allows the credential holder to show their supervisor that they are continuing their career growth. Cmci promotes the recognition of its programs as the reliable indicator of professional qualification and accomplishment, to the industry.
Professional development - cmaa provides Construction managers with a variety of traditional and digital education and training opportunities that are dedicated to improving the overall competency and performance of industry. By offering publications that define the industry standards, virtual and in-person training to steward those standards, as well as webinars, town halls, and technical tours, cmaa is the primary source to enhance education within the profession. Cmaa is also the lead society for accreditation of professional degree programs in Construction Management by abet. Working through abet, cmaa is able to make a significant contribution to developing a qualified, professional workforce.
Conferences - cmaa is dedicated to providing education, specialized training, and networking opportunities for Construction and program Management professionals working together to realize project and program success. Cmaa national events foster information exchange through thought-provoking and inspiring educational sessions and professional development - cmaa provides Construction managers with a workshops, technology demonstrations, exhibits, and hands-on learning labs while providing attendees with an opportunity to explore developments in their professional practice, industry benchmarks, and new developments. These events also provide practitioners at any career stage the opportunity to grow and learn the competencies required for high-performing Construction Management teams as well as business concepts, leadership, and communication skills to help
