Education: cha informs consumers and regulators about the beneficial services and products that cha member companies and the discount Health care industry provide in addition to guiding on how to choose a discount plan appropriate for their needs.
Code of conduct: cha has developed and maintains a code of conduct that establishes standards for discount Health care companies to operate with integrity, fairness and accountability. The cha code of conduct is a benchmark that helps consumers choose an appropriate discount Health care program and guides discount Health care companies on their business activities.
Advocacy: cha establishes and maintains positive relationships between the discount Health care industry and those who regulate it to ensure that consumers have the opportunity to choose the valuable programs offered by cha member companies. During the current year, cha worked with various state legislators and regulators to attempt to jointly craft and pass bills and adopt regulations that are reasonable and appropriate for the discount Health care industry.
