Contact Arts

Produced the fourth annual san diego fringe festival in 2016. This is a community event open to all artists as a platform in a festival atmosphere, to introduce emerging and established live Arts to the public at free to low cost. The artists receive support and training to become producers of their own shows and receive all proceeds from ticket sales to the shows.presented 90 participating companies with 512 performances over 11 days to 23,147 ticketed attendance plus guests, at 25 indoor venues. Buskers provided entertainment and advertising to the large crowds at several locations. 100% box office receipts were given to the artists. The total payout was $221,743.in 2016 the number of vvenues grew to 17 which included free performance spaces at newly opened horton plaza park and in city heights, and the addition of diversionary theatre in university heights and the new san diego centra library as ticketed performance spaces.
