PROVIDES JOB REFERRALS, EDUCATIONAL CLASSES, SOCIAL EVENTS, AND PROMOTIONAL ACTIVITIES; MONITORS NEW RULES AND REGULATIONS; PUBLISHES MONTHLY NEWSLETTER AND ANNUAL DIRECTORY; COMMUNITY OUTREACH; WEBSITE AS AN INFORMATIONAL RESOURCE BY MEMBERS AND CONSUMERS; WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT; AWARD/RECOGNITION PROGRAM FOR MEMBERS; ASSISTS OTHER NON-PROFITS.MORE SPECIFIC ACCOMPLISHMENTS DURING 2023 INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING: Achieved an 89% membership renewal rate, ending the year with 401 members Executed all signature events with impressive attendance, sponsor engagement, and exceeded annual fundraising goals. Successfully continued the CATT Training Series with certifications and educational classes taught by members and partners Jobs to Bid Program:Referred over 320 Jobs to Bid exclusively to CATT membersDistributed 21,000 copies of the Building & Remodeling Guide throughout the region, increasing to Reno and Carson CityRecognized CATT sponsors at events, online, and through our Annual Building Awards Networking: Held five sold-out outdoor fundraising events: Spring Golf at Greys Crossing, Sporting Clays at Capitol City Gun Club, Fall Golf at Incline Village Championship Golf Course. Hosted Five Member Socials: OrePAC at CATT office; Ferguson Kitchen & Bath in Reno, NV; Corn hole tournament and Chili Cook Off, Truckee, CA; Design Bar, Truckee, CA; and Christmas Holiday Party in Hyatt, Incline Village, attendance of 450. Workforce Development: Engaged with South Lake Tahoe High School for CTE Programs to build tiny homes for Teachers South Lake Tahoe Local Government Affairs: Grew advocacy region to include Douglas and Washoe Counties Worked with City of South Lake Tahoe on the planning of the Climate Action Plan Supported changes to relax Tahoe Regional Planning Agency (TRPA) ordinances to increase the construction of housing Continued to lobby the TRPA for the release of residential allocations Advocated for private property rights and the allowance of short-term rentals without onerous restrictions/ or moratoriums on permits Established CATT as a preeminent organization with local jurisdictions, elected officials, and coalitions Truckee North Tahoe Local Government Affairs: Addressed the delay in permitting processing at the Town of Truckee Building Department Participated in the Truckee General Plan and mobilized members to support a preferred alternative Participated in the Climate Action Coalition and offered Heat Pump Classes to members and general public for free Worked with the Golden State Builders Exchange to understand best practices in construction trade associations Encouraged the Town of Truckee to treat affordable housing projects as categorically exempt from VMT requirements as they create minimal impact
