The Center conducted two trips to assist a church with construction and renovation work, 22 volunteers In January, 2017 and volunteers In July, 2017. Each person on the mission trips relmbursed the Center for travel and relatred expenses. The Center isbursed $1,165 for labor at the mission Site rece
Substantially all cash contributions to the Center are by or through churches and thelr affiliated organizations, such as mission groups, Sunday School classes, and independent Bible Study groups. The expenses shown relate to the estimated cost of distributing food to needy families; however, the Center does not attempt to determine the value of food received and distributed ‘Much of the food is given to the Center or purchased at very low discounted prices from a local Food Bank, andsomeis ‘obtained at no cost from a bakery that provides bread and related products that may be out-of-date for retall customers
A third major program Is the receiving, sorting, displaying and distributing clothing to the familes who come tothe Center ‘Since the work is done primarily by volunteers, no expense or revenue Is attributed to this activity. The Center does nol attempt determine the value of the clothing when it Is received or distributed. The Center does not purchase clothing for distribution ‘on a regular basis since many churches and other organizations give large amounts of clothing tothe Center
