Provides government decision makers with information that demonstrates the use and use value of Federal Statistics for informed policy decision making;organizes forums in which Federal statisticians and agency representatives interact with the users of their Statistics; conducts independent, third-party evaluations of statistical tools, processes and accessibility options, and prepares white papaers; holds seminars, workshops, and webinars on challenges and opportunities facing groups that rely on Federal Statistics and those facing the Federal agencies that produce them; partners with the Federal committee on statistical methodology to facilitate major, annual research and policy meetings at which critical cross-fertilization of cutting edge techniques and statistical findings occurs among the Federal agencies that collect statistics--a function that furthers those agencies' goal to work collectively and collaboratively--, other governments, academics, and businesses; makes the results of its meetings, conferences, and updates on policy affecting Federal Statistics available to the public through its website and twitter account.
