Council on American-Islamic Relations Minnesota empowers American Muslims and builds coalitions while enhancing understanding of Islam and encouraging dialogue to protect civil liberties. Cair mn serves as fiscal sponsor to awood center, which creates a culturally and linguistically relevant space to build unity and develop the next generation of leaders. One of our core programs is an annual Islamophobia conference, which raises awareness about the evils of islamophobia and discusses actions to tackle the issue.

Islamophobia conference, civil rights and community advocacy/empowerment: Cair-Mn is dedicated to combating islamophobia and promoting justice for muslims in Minnesota through a variety of programs. One of the organizations core initiatives is an annual conference that brings together activists, scholars, local leaders, and allies to raise awareness about islamophobia and discuss concrete actions to address it. The conference fosters collaboration and builds a strong, unified community. Additionally, Cair-Mn hosts an annual ramadan dinner to highlight the accomplishments of the past year and share goals for the future. Cair-Mn also actively engages with the media, providing training and resources to promote a fair and accurate portrayal of islam and muslims. The organization provides legal support and advocacy for cases involving employment, education, hate crimes, and racial or religious profiling.
