Program areas at Council on Food Agricultural and Resource Economics

The Council on Food, Agricultural and Resource Economics suite of education and outreach programs advance knowledge and opportunities across the networks of the Agricultural Economics profession while connecting them with stakeholders and policymakers who can use research and analysis in their decision making. Educational programs include webinar series, congressional briefings, industry luncheons and intern briefings.
Oce project - a workshop occurred in the winter of 2024 in Washington, dc. The workshop focused on understanding the issues and challenges with quantifying soil carbon sequestration with climate smart practices cost effectively and at scale and incorporating, current policy constraints to incorporating them in the assessment of carbon intensity of biofuels and the design of alternative policies that overcome these constraints.
