Counselors Obediently Preventing Substance Abuse (C.O.P.S.) promotes healing in the community by supporting and empowering those struggling with substance abuse. In July 2017, C.O.P.S. opened a third transitional house in Kansas City, MO, providing housing for men who are homeless, have recently been released from incarceration or suffer from SUD. The transitional housing has three levels, and the men in Level III are employed and reengaging with their community.

July 2017 cops opened a third transitional house for men who re homeles,reentry from incarceration and/or a Substance use disorder (sud). The transitional housing has three levels of housing. The men in level 3 are employed, are reengaging with their families and are stable in their recovery cops hires the house managers from within the program. Cops did thier first block party for the community. There were speakers with housing information, howto start a business, write a book and sell products. Cops has an annual thanksgiving dinner for all clients in the program and their families. Cops also became a part of the cfc campaign, a program that allows federal employees to donate perpetually. The cops program had a fishing tournament this year that enabled the clients to learn the valuable skill of fishing.
