Program areas at CPLC New Mexico
Child and adult care food program (cacfp):cplc New Mexico Inc. administers one of the largest cacfp programs across the state of New Mexico. The cacfp program serves two main meals and a snack to each child daily. In this reporting year, we had 410 home-based daycare providers serving over 2,200 kids daily. We also sponsored 30 unaffiliated centers and 14 affiliated centers wherein we also served over 1,200 children daily. The cacfp program is an essential program for child well-being and has served an equivalent to 1,885,161 meals annually.
Regional coalition of local communities:we provide daytoday management services for the partnership to create one voice to ensure national decisions incorporate local needs and concerns. The coalition's focus is community and economic development, site employment and environmental remediation and adequate funding for los alamos national laboratory (lanl). The rclc is comprised of nine cities, counties and pueblos surrounding the us department of energy's lanl.
Low-income multifamily property:cplcnm's low-income multi-family properties provide affordable housing opportunities to eligible residents through rent subsidies based on resident income levels. All projects are regulated under the internal revenue code, section 42. Cplcnm currently operates 40 low-income rental units at bella vista apartments, in the city of taos, nm; 60 low-income rental units at villa las vegas apartments located in las vegas, nm, and 60 low-income rental units at ladera apartments in farmington, New Mexico.
Executive management services:cplcnm provides executive and fiscal management services for help New Mexico, Inc., the largest community action agency (caa) in the state of New Mexico. These service categories include employment, education and cognitive development, income and asset building, housing, health and social/behavioral development, civic engagement, and case management. Cplcnm has expanded the executive and fiscal support to over 100,000 individuals and families in self-sufficiency resources.
